A clear industry leader, our client is committed to keeping their staff safe at all times. Heavily involved in all aspects of construction and engineering, and in response to substantial growth, our client is looking for a H&S Manager to oversee this function within the business.

The Opportunity
As an internal advisor, you will provide internal service delivery of the H&S function to department / division heads. Looking after teams and being heavily involved in projects across the board, to ensure compliance to both internal and external best practice as well as legislative aspects.
A typical day would involve conducting safety reviews of project sites, investigating and making recommendation for corrective actions, reviewing contractors' H&S Management Plans and identifying risks and addressing these risks, and generally ensuring that the H&S function is being looked after across the company as well as when engaging with external parties.
We are not just looking for the stock standard H&S Manager / Professional, we are really looking or someone who best practice is based on. Someone who lives the role and passionately and actively ensures the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of fellow staff.

Skills / Qualifications
You will of course be qualified and experienced at a senior level and whilst mostly operating independently, you will need to be able to "lead" a team by example as you will effectively engage with mid and senior management across the entire business - you will need to create buy-in an offer results and improvements to an already strong and effective H&S function.
